What is COBALAMINUSION™ ?

Bioavailability and efficient metabolism of a drug in human body post administration decides how effective a medicine going to be.

Research Published by Caldwell J, Gardner I, Swales N.  In An introduction to drug disposition: the basic principles of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion. Toxicol Pathol. 1995 Mar-Apr;23(2):102-14 stated that a Potency loss of 10-40% in case of Oral administration in seen, while in injectables it remains around 10-30%. While there are various factors responsible, one common reason Deficiency of B12 in seen.

Publication by Martinez MN, Amidon GL. A mechanistic approach to understanding the factors affecting drug absorption: a review of fundamentals. J Clin Pharmacol. 2002 Jun;42(6):620-43  suggest that B12 deficiency reduces drug metabolism upto 50% of various drugs.

Similar researches done in last decade confirm the role of Vitamin B12 in Drug metabolism. Researches confirm that reduced levels of Vitamin B12 lead to poor absorption and metabolism of Drugs administered either through oral route or Injections.

Why COBALAMINUSION™ ?

In our endeavor to develop technologies and Methods to increase BV (bio-availability) and drug metabolism, We at COBALIMINUSION™ Tech, started our research in 2012 based on theory: if B12 deficiency can lead to poor absorption and final metabolism of Administered drug, will infusing Vitamins B12 molecules to Drugs ( Capsules, Tablets or Injections ) going increase its efficiency and efficacy?

And to our expectations Results were a phenomenon.

Attaching a B12 Molecule to the target Drug molecule resulted in 200% better absorption and metabolism post-administration.

Ever Since COBALIMINUSION™ Tech has been supporting Pharma companies across the world in Creating Efficient Medicines and enhancing Drug delivery.

Till Date, COBALIMINUSION™ tech has filed 18 Patents in Drug BV and delivery enhancement technology.

Research and Clinical Trials

In hope to learn the clinical and functional signs of sub-clinical vitamin B12 deficiency and its effects to supplementation, medication and other form of treatments. Vitamin B12 is important in hematopoiesis, neuro-cognitive functions and genetic integrity. Since it has important binding effect of different hormones and drugs, makes it important subject to study and clinical analysis. This information will help decide infusion of vitamin B12 molecules to targeted drugs to enhance their overall metabolism and efficacy for public health reasons.

biomarker response after supplementation with oral and intramuscular vitamin B12 will be compared in a randomized clinical trial. Electronic compliance monitoring will be used to control for non compliance as a possible confounder in oral treatment. Additionally subjective acceptance in terms of presumed preferences will be compared with oral vs. intramuscular supplementation of vitamin B12 in the view of the patient.
